Rincewind

My favorite spined critter

This is a picture of my darling son, Rincewind. He was a cute little hedgehog, but not too cuddly. =>

Rincewind came to live with me many summers ago. I stumbled across him in a barn yard flea market of all places and just couldn't believe my luck! I carried him away from that nasty, dirty, hot place and into a world of luxury with a large house (a dog kennel really), plenty of boxes to play in, good cat food, and the occasional treat of visiting the outside or my living room.

For those of you who are wondering, Rince's name came from a charecter in the Discworld books of Terry Pratchett. It's obvious to anyone who knows of the wizard Rincewind that the hedgehog Rincewind was much luckier! =>

Rincewind died in the spring of 97. His body is gone, but I like to think his spirit is still here. He was a good friend and I shall never forget him...

Rincewind has been cannozied by the Church of the Holy Hedgehog as the Patron Saint of the Timid. Feel free to visit his vestry in the Shrine of the Holy Hedgehog.
